The Accounting and Budget Unit prepares, consolidates and reviews annual budget, supplemental and special budgets. The unit takes action on request for funding on various requisitions of different departments. It coordinates with concerned offices in connection with budget operations and guidelines, assists the Campus Administrator during the budget hearing and review during Board of Regents meeting whenever necessary. It monitors disbursement of approved agency budget, prepares financial plan, submits financial report to DBM, initiates and follow-up requests for funding from other government agencies, and prepares periodic, annual and other required report related to the financial management function.
The unit records all the financial transactions, accounts classification, maintains complete, accurate and update subsidiary ledgers for all accounts. The office prepares payroll of regular, contractual and part-time faculty member and non-academic personnel.
